Living in the Languedoc it’s not only about drinking good wines all the time… Well, to be honest, that’s a pretty big part of it during a wine tour!
In the early years of Taste du Languedoc, I ran a small art gallery and wine bar in Azille, in the Minervois. It was called ‘‘Inspiré’’ (=inspired). For a number of years I cooked, poured wine, organised music events and generally enjoyed myself.
That's why I wanted to take things further with Private Home Events for small groups from 2 to 10 people. Wherever you’re located between Montpellier to Carcassonne (Sète, Narbonne, Mèze, Pézenas, Béziers, or Agde): I’ll bring Taste du Languedoc to you!

Private Home Wine Tastings
Travels are exhausting, yes, I get it. So feel the good vibes of a Southern France holiday and just let yourself go.
Wine Tours are a really fun and authentic experience when you want to meet local producers and explore the countryside. But you can also enjoy the vibe by staying at home, near the swimming pool, a glass of Rosé in your hand and feets in the water… Why not ?! It’s your holidays, matey!
I organize private wine tasting near you, like, literally to your doorstep, at your place! I hold a WSET Master qualification in Languedoc wines, one of the most respected certifications in the world of wine. So, you’re just in good hands!
I bring bottles, you just have to sit and enjoy. It can be a wine lesson covering oenology and sommelier basics: how to pour, how to taste, and how to talk about wine with confidence. Or a wine tasting: explore the different kinds of Rosés from Southern of France; learn how to recognize the different Languedoc appellations, etc.
This experience is totally tailor-made, based on what you’re looking for. If you want to learn more about French wines and go back with some knowledge, that’s what you’ll get. If it’s about having a funny evening, it’s fun you’ll have!
Private Chef at Home
Don’t want to cook tonight? Who you gonna call? Matt Saunders!
Don’t worry, I'll take care of everything, from a single evening meal to a full day of cooking, if that's what you fancy. Thanks to my chef experience, I’m happy to bring all the mediterranean local food to you. Fresh oysters, tielles sétoises (octopus pie), home made cassoulet (duck with beans), brassucade (toasted mussels), Languedoc food is so rich. A salad nicoise instead? I’ll make the craziest aïoli sauce you’ll ever eat. Private chef at home for small private group, that’s my middle name!
If you enjoy it, I can do a private cooking lesson with you. Learn everything you need to know about ‘‘Mediterranean regime’’ and go back with all my cooking secrets in mind. Once again, this experience is about you enjoying your time in South of France. So you just tell me what you want and I’ll handle everything else.

I'm also a jazz singer and I perform with my own live band for your special events. We play folk, jazz, Irish songs and modern classics. The kind of music that fills a room and gets people on their feet. Whether you want a laid-back background soundtrack for a dinner or a full-on evening session that ends with everyone dancing in the garden, I've got you covered.
