If you would love to experience Languedoc culture mixed with amazing regional wines, then this tour is perfect for you!

You will visit a selection of Cathar Castles—magnificent structures built as early as the 12th century. They are sites of besieged strongholds where the last Cathars stood their ground against the Catholic Crusaders until the 15th century.

After working up an appetite exploring castles, you will get to enjoy a picnic lunch in the fantastic castle setting along with some wonderful Cathar wine.

The day will be topped off with a wine tasting at a local vineyard nearby the castle, completing your full immersion in Languedoc history.

Note: There is a large selection of Cathar Castles in the region, so please contact us to discuss the options closest to you. This will determine the exact itinerary and vineyard selection to get the most out of the day.

10:00 — You will be picked up and taken on a scenic drive to the Cathar Castle you have selected. Here you will explore the ruins of the castle, discuss the history, and have many great photo-worthy moments.

12:00 — Picnic lunch complete with Cathar wine within the beautiful castle setting.

14:00 — Head off to the wine tasting portion of the day at the vineyard chosen near the castle.

17:00 — You will be returned to your accommodations at the end of your wine tour experience.
