Foodie fun stuff

After years of cooking professionally for hungry folk from across the globe, Matthew, a self styled cook who finds the term “ chef “ uncomfortable due to its French translation as “ the boss “ reminded me that “as the only cook in your kitchen , you are always THE CHEF “.

Matthew has cooked from a very early age. As a child he cooked for his family and friends and as a teenager he learnt to cook Curries with his neighbours in West London. Cooking has always been a part of Matthew’s life. On moving to France in 1993 , he was taught by “Mami” his ex girlfriend’s grandma the basics of a good vinaigrette, a real ratatouille, a pot au feu , the list is vast!

The one thing he did learn was that great food is what brings people together. The same rule applies to wine , music, art and everything else that makes us feel great in life.

We , at Taste du Languedoc organise bespoke courses for groups and individuals who want to learn more about Wine , Food and the pairing of both. We can teach you to cook and taste ! It is up to you to enjoy and share !
